This park was created to protect the rare mountain gorillas and also the golden monkeys. It also hosts wildlife and the Batwa pygmies and the three conical, extinct volcanoes.

Day 1- Transfer from Kampala to Kisoro
On this day , you will be picked up by our driver from your hotel in Kampala after breakfast. You can either be dropped at Kajansi airstrip for your chatter flight to Kisoro or be driven to the park by road.  The road journey takes about 7 hours and 30 minutes covering a distance of 483.7km from Kampala city. On arrival, you will check in to the lodge where you will be having dinner and also spending the night.

Mountain Gorilla Day 2- Gorilla trekking
After an early breakfast in the morning. The driver guide will pick you up from the logde with packed lunch and drive to the head quarters where you will be briefed before starting the gorilla trekking adventure activity that takes about 1 hour to 8 hours depending on your luck with the gorillas. Finally, after you track them down, you will be given an hour to interact with these primates and take note of their way of life. You might see various animals like the South African porcupines, golden monkeys, black fronted duikers, bush buck, giant forest hog, buffalos, bush pigs and stripped jackals. There are also a variety of birds in different species like the black kite, blue headed coucal, white naped raven, Rwenzori turaco, Rwenzori bats, double collared sunbird, ibis, Rwenzori turaco, paradise fly catcher, double collard sunbird, Rwenzori night jar, stone chat, wax bills and the speckled mouse bird and many more. After this amazing adventure in the park, you will late visit the Batwa communities before heading back to the lodge for dinner and a sleep over.

Day 3- Transfer back to Kampala
You will start your journey back to Kampala after having your breakfast. On your way back to Kampala, you might stop at the Igongo cultural center for lunch and visiting the museum, make another stop over at the equator for pictures.
