2 Days tour to Jinja; East Africa’s adventure and home to source of the Nile- There are plenty of exciting activities to enjoy including the infamous white water rafting, bungee jumping, river kayaking, horseback riding, quad biking, boat rides, nature walks among others. DAY 1– Transfer from Kampala to Jinja
On this day, you will be picked up from your location in Kampala and embark on a 1 hour and 47 minute journey to Jinja town. On this journey, you will go through Mabira forest, one of the thickest and largest forests in Uganda, and also through the large tea and sugarcane plantations in Lugazi. This is quiet an interesting journey as there’s a lot to see along the way from the roasted food vendors at Namawojolo and close to Mabira forest to the beautiful scenery. Close to Jinja town, you will cross the Jinja Bridge, were Owen falls dam is located. While in Jinja town, you will be driven straight to the source of the Nile…. Here you can go for a boat ride along the Nile, buy some souvenirs from the craft shops around then go for a trip in Jinja town to get familiar with the environment. After this tour, you will check in to your camp, have dinner and spend the night.
DAY 2– White water rafting and transfer back to Kampala
On this day, you will wake up to ready breakfast at the lodge after which you will get ready to go rafting. Rafting at the Nile is done either in the morning from 9am or evening from 2pm. This being your last day in Jinja, you will be guided to the rafting spot where you will be given the full gears needed and some instructions too. You will then enjoy a half day of amazing fun along the white waters. When this activity is done, you will get ready and set off back to Kampala.
