DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Depart To Murchison Falls National Park
Starting off you safari experience in Uganda, you will be briefed by the guide and latter start the tour which will include a 5-6 hours drive to Murchison falls National Park with a rhino tracking at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The journey to the park that takes about 4 hours is an amazing experience as the clients can enjoy the beautiful environment along the journey and can also decide to have a stop at the Zziwa rhino sanctuary. This place hosts the endangered white rhinos. After this pleasant view, you will embark on the journey to Masindi town where you will have a mouth watering lunch and rest a bit for some minutes before proceeding to Murchison Park. There you will have a life time opportunity to see the world’s longest river thunderously bust through a small 7meter gorge and then drop to 43 meters below. Overnight and dinner at your lodge.
Day 2: Safari Game Drive And Boat Trip Along River Nile
With the fresh air rushing on to your face, you will wake up to the sweet sound of the birds with in the park. Breakfast will later be served which will later be followed a morning drive to see the various animals like Elephants, Lion, and giraffes, Hartebeest, Bushbucks and Jackal. Have lunch at the lodge and later cruise on river Nile to catch sight of the numerous crocodiles, Hippos, water birds, elephants and many more animals. You will be able to take snap shots of these animals that will be sipping the waters of the Nile while at the boat cruise. Before retiring to your lodge for diner, you will take photographs of the spectacular water falls.
Day 3: Travel To Kibale Forest National Park
You will drive from Murchison Falls National Park heading south west to Kibale National Park immediately after having a well prepared breakfast meal. The National Park has the biggest number of resident primates in Africa, with 13 different primate species like the chimpanzees, the blues, galagos, black and white Colobus monkeys and the Red Colobus monkeys. But that is not all that Kibale has to offer, apart from tracking the grunting chimpanzee families in the thick forest, you can also have nature walks in the Bigodi swamp to watch the harmoniously singing birds.
Through the Albertine Escarpment of the East Africa’s Great Rift valley and finally arrive in Fort Portal that lies in the shadow of the great Mountains of the Moon. You will dine and sleep at your lodge.
Day 4: Chimp Tracking & Kibale Forest
As usual, you will wake up to a beautiful day, have breakfast that will be served on time and then drive to Kibale Forest National Park starting point for Chimpanzee trekking. While tracking you will marvel at the other primates that will be crisscrossing such as black-and-white Colobus monkeys, Red-Colobuses, the blues and grey cheeked Mangabey.
Birds, small insect and butterflies are all part of the beautiful wild. For specifics about anything as you will be on your trek, the guides will be at your disposal at all times. Be it on the flora or on fauna of the forest, you will be informed of anything you want to know about. You will later return to your accommodation for lunch. In the afternoon have a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp to spot various birds and animals. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Proceed to queen Elizabeth National park following the mystical Rwenzori Mt. Range, a game drive en route to view lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species. Enjoy the unique 2 hour boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. You will have a chance to view hippos on close range and other bird species. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 6: Brief Game Drive While Transferring To Bwindi
On having breakfast, you will depart for the Ishasha sector in the park for a game drive to catch sight of the tree climbing lions. This will be brief game drive because you will just be passing through to your next destination. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and after head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking As Scheduled Today
An early breakfast followed by a briefing by the guide, you will then head into Bwindi forest for a Mountain Gorilla tracking. Every well equipped you will have a stunning experience as you meander through the thick forest. The track usually takes up to 8 hour so you will have gone with your lunch and have a break to eat then continue with your tracking.
Day 8: Batwa Experience in Mgahinga To Rwanda
Today wake up to a leisurely breakfast and prepare for yet another adventure around the park as you visit these indigenous natives the Batwa. The Batwa are Uganda’s marginalized people and are view with derision by most of the Ugandan Nationals. The Batwa have lived their lives to current generations by hunting and gathering in the forest. The visit to the Batwa invariably involves songs and a dance demonstration, and once the music begins you can’t help but notice that they project a genuine pride in themselves. You shall then return to the lodge for lunch and proceed to Kigali-Rwanda. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 9: Kigali City Tour
From your hotel in Kigali, you will be picked up by our company representative for a wonderful drive through Kigali, Rwanda visiting; the Natural History Museum, Presidential Palace Museum, Genocide Memorial, Craft Market, Food Markets, Mille Collines Hotel (Hotel Rwanda) – such a wonderful sight. Later dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 10: Transfer Back to Entebbe Kampala
After your morning breakfast, drive back to Kampala via the scenic Kabale-Mbarara road. You will have lunch enroute and arrive in Kampala in the evening. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 11: Transfer To Jinja For White Water Rafting.
Transfer to Jinja for white water rafting. While on the way to Jinja, you will enjoy the beautiful and attractive sceneries on your way such as Mabira forest, enroute visit to Itanda falls. Upon reaching there, you enjoy this interesting activity as you raft on the deep waters of the River Nile. After rafting you will break off for lunch and later transfer back to Kampala. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 12: Kampala City Tour.
The company guide will pick you from the hotel immediately after your breakfast and set off for Kampala city tour. You will have a chance most of Uganda places of attraction such as museum, Kasubi Tombs, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, Bahai Temple and craft villages ,visit the local markets all the general sightseeing of Kampala. During Kampala city tour, you will have a chance to interact with local Uganda at the same time spot out lots of birds especially the Marabou storks, weaver birds etc. hovering over the city. You will drive immediately straight to Nakiwogo landing site to catch up with ferry crossing that sets at 2:00 pm to transfer you to Ssese island. You will reach Kalangala late evening and then transfer to your reserved accommodation for your restful evening. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 13: Ssese Islands on Lake Victoria
Enjoy your breakfast and set off for a nature walk on the island or enjoy some birding just as you may prefer. In the afternoon you may relax on the airy beach and have a swim as well as sun bathe, take the canoe ride around other neighboring islands or do some Sport fishing. Certainly you will never be bored with all these numerous activities. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 14: Transfer To Entebbe or Kampala.
Now after a delicious breakfast you will board the ferry to transfer back to Entebbe or Kampala.
