7 Days Mt Elgon Hike & Kidepo Valley Safari

7 Days Mountain hiking and wildlife safari in Uganda features 2days hike to Wagagai peak; Mt Elgons highest peak plus a guided game drive throught Kidepo parks narus valley. Other activities include community walks.

DAY 1- Arrival
Today you will be picked from the airport to your hotel for dinner and sleep over by our agent

DAY 2- Kampala to Mount Elgon national park
Today you will be picked from your hotel after breakfast and immediately start o a journey to Mbale via Jinja and Tirinyi a distance of about 3 hours covering 256km from Kampala city. While in Mbale, you will visit the sipi falls after which you will check in to a lodge, have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 3- Drive to Budadiri
Today after breakfast, you will be driven to Budadiri from were hiking starts via Sasa river camp 2900m high proceeding to Mude camp which is 3500m high where you will spend the night and have dinner.

DAY 4- Hike to Wagagai peak to Kidepo national park
After breakfast, you will climb from Mude camp to Wagagai peak that is 4321m high and it takes about 4 hours. After this, you will descend and immediately drive to Kidepo valley national park through the Karamoja region and Kitgum district with lunch on arrival. You will check in, have a few refreshments, later dinner and sleep over.

DAY 5- Game drive
You will wake up to ready breakfast after which you will go for an early morning game drive where you might see the early risers like lions and leopards. Other mammals that may be spotted include, the stripped hyenas, cheetah, bat eared fox, caracal lesser, roan antelope, greater kudu, eland, oribi, besia oryx, oribi, defassa, giraffe, zebra, elephants and many more. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will have a tour to the local communities and do some activities with them like milking of cows and their traditional dances. After these adventures, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

DAY 6- Kidepo national park to Gulu town
Today, after breakfast, you will check out and prepare for a 3 to 4 hour drive to Gulu town where you will be spending the night.

DAY 7- Return to Kampala city
This being the last day of your trip, you will have dinner, checkout and start on your journey back to Kampala city.
